Postage (Shipping) & Return Details

(The Cooling off period (4c) is limited to consumer transactions within the European Union only. Not applicable to Business to Business or auction transactions).

1.Delivery "We will try our Utmost to despatch orders the same day"
1a.UK Standard Delivery

UK orders (stock items) for Standard delivery are normally despatched within one to two working days from clearance of payment. We expect delivery to be within 2 to 5 working days thereafter from the date of clearance of your order.
Expected delivery dates are dependent on the weight of your order and/or the shipping destination. Standard Delivery will be by Royal Mail Standard Parcel service for orders up to 20kg in weight.

1b.UK Next Working Day Delivery

At present Next Working day Delivery Service is by special request. In the very near future we will be able to offer this delivery service as a option selectable at checkout for UK deliveries as set out below.

UK orders (stock items) for Next Working Day delivery are normally despatched the same day for orders received before 11.30am (GMT) dependant on clearance of payment. We expect delivery to be next day between 0900 and no later than 1730.
Expected delivery dates are dependent on the weight/size of your order and/or the shipping destination.

Currently Next Working Day Delivery destinations are Limited to the following UK destinations;

United Kingdom (Isle of Man)
United Kingdom (N.Ireland)
United Kingdom ((Mainland) Includes Isle of Wight & all other UK destinations)

Unfortunately destinations to all Scottish Islands cannot be guaranteed a next working day delivery service.

1c.International Delivery

International Orders (stock items) are normally despatched within one to two working days from clearance of payment. Expected delivery being within 5 to 10 working days from the date of order placement. Expected delivery dates are dependent on the weight/size of your order and/or the shipping destination.

International delivery will be by Royal Mail Airmail or Parcel Force Worldwide this will be dependent on the weight/size of your order and/or the delivery destination.

We hope to offer alternative quicker International delivery options in the very near future, if this is your current requirement please contact us.

1d.Additional delivery instructions

while you are completing your online order if you have any requests concerning delivery let us know this by entering details in the "Add Comments about Your Order" Box. Such information can include a request to delay your order for despatching at a later date. Please note we cannot accept any alternative delivery address requests when paying by credit/debit card.

1e.Delay of delivery

in the event that all or part of your order is not available, we shall notify you by e-mail as soon as possible. Unavailable stock and special order items are normally despatched within 5 to 10 days. We will attempt to keep you regularly updated on any items ordered that are likely to be on back order for more than 14 days. For delays of more than 14 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the item(s).

We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but any dates we specify are approximate only and we will not be held liable for any delay or failure to achieve any delivery or other date.

2.Postage (Delivery) Charges

2a. Calculation of charges

Postage charges are calculated based on the weight of the product including packaging, delivery address and handling charges.

You can view your estimated postage charges to your selected country address by adding any product to your Shopping Basket. The delivery charges are listed below the shopping basket where you can select (if applicable) a postage method.

Your final choice of Delivery method will be made at the checkout stage of ordering.

Occasionally delivery charges quoted and/or charged may be insufficient to cover the costs of delivering orders. This may be due to:

Volumetric weight of the package having a higher charge than the actual order weight.
Inaccessible or adverse address location.

If this is the case we will contact you before despatch to inform you of any additional charges. You will then be informed of the optional arrangements and if necessary we will cancel and refund any payments made.

2b.Taxation

VAT is calculated on delivery destination. All orders to destinations within the UK and the European Union (EU / EEC) will have VAT added to the value of the order.

All Orders delivered to destinations outside the European Union (EU/EEC) do not have to pay VAT but orders may be subject to local sales or import duty, of which are not included in our prices. Any Payment due of theses taxes or duties will be the responsibility of the customer on or following delivery.

3 Problems with Deliveries

3a.Undeliverable Orders

undeliverable orders that have been despatched to the delivery address as supplied by the customer and consequently are returned to UKtools are subject to a refund of the value of the products only (not including delivery charges) and less any applicable return postage costs charged by the carriers.

3b.Claims

Please immediately inform us by email, fax, or post of any of the following problems you may have with your delivery. Please inform us within 7 days of delivery. We cannot accept any liability unless we are notified within the 7 days of delivery.

3c.Damage on Delivery

Always examine the packaging at the point of delivery before signing for any package. If the package appears to be damaged in anyway Insist on writing a note on the carriers delivery consignment note. It is then your responsibility to inform us of any damage to products within 7 days of delivery.

3d.Shortages

Always check the number of packages as shown on the carriers delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note. It is then your responsibility to inform us of any shortages within 7 days of delivery.

3e.In-correctly supplied goods

Please notify us immediately if any incorrectly supplied goods have been sent to you. It is your responsibility to inform us within 7 days of delivery.

3f.Non-delivery

Please notify us within 7 days from the expected delivery date of a non delivery.

4. Returns & cancellation of orders

Please note: Very Important:
No product may be returned for any reason without the prior approval of UKtools.

If you intend to return any product or order to UKtools you must first contact us to request a Returns Merchant Authorisation number (RMA).

4a.Proof of purchase

Products bought only from this store may be returned directly to this store.
electronic receipt, proof of purchase will be required.

4b. Packaging

Customer must take care to securely package all goods including the original packaging and the RMA number must be clearly identified on the outer packaging.
The RMA number will enable prompt processing of your returns. (Failure to display the RMA may result in the rejection of your return.).

Customer is responsible for returning products to UKtools at the Customer"s risk and expense. It is recommended that you should use a recorded delivery service with adequate insurance and keep a record of proof of posting.

4c.Unwanted Goods

UK Any stock order placed that has been correctly supplied by UKtools and is subsequently not required can be returned to us unused, within 28 days of receipt of goods,This is only applicable if goods remain in a "as new" and unused condition including all parts and packaging remain in tact. All Un-wanted returns may be subject to a handling charge of 25%. The cost of return carriage must be paid by the customer.

4d.Special orders

Non standard stock items or Special orders (including spare/replacement parts) cannot be cancelled once the order has been processed.
Standard stock orders can be cancelled prior to despatch without penalty.

4f. Ownership of Goods.

Any product(s) returned to UKtools shall become the property of UKtools. If UKtools determines that failure of the product(s) was not a result of a defect in materials or workmanship within the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, UKtools reserves the right to charge Customer for the parts. UKtools will advise the Customer prior to assessing these charges.

5. Quick Checklist of Returns procedure

Send email to UKtools with reason for return. Including:
Your name
Address
Order Number or Invoice Number of original Purchase
Product code/description
Reason for return
Action Request

On instruction from UKtools.
Address label with RMA number
Package goods to return complete with any parts/accessories notes etc. (unless specified to return any part(s) only).
Package in a protective way (to be safe for handling & secure enough not to be accidentally opened).
On posting obtain adequate Insurance & Proof of posting.
